Yahara Watershed Initiatives Mean Cleaner Lakes

Room 121A of the Lyman F. Anderson Agriculture and Conservation Center, 5201 Fen Oak Drive in Madison. 


This briefing, hosted by the Dane County Lakes and Watershed Commission and Environment, Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee,  will focus on projects to reduce sediment and phosphorus transport from Cherokee Marsh into Lake Mendota, beach boom and water treatment results from 2012, and the Yahara INFOS computer model.  Speakers will be Professor Chi Wu (UW-Madison Civil and Environmental Engineering) and lake researcher Dick Lathrop (formerly with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources).  There will be an opportunity for attendees to share short updates on related projects.
